My review of We Are God by Jordan Mund was just published on The Future Fire.
As you’ll see in my review, I was critical of the book’s main technical choice, which is to have the narrator so separate from the main events of the book. The speaker is detached from the drama, physically and emotionally, and I struggled to connect with him.
I’ve never published a book. I greatly admire people who have, especially when they go the self-publishing or independent publishing route, so it pains me to write a review that comes across as negative.
We Are God has some really great ideas, and I’d like to hear more about them. I’d just like to hear them from one of Mund’s other characters.
