My villanelle in Star*Line

I am honored to announce that my villanelle, “The Astronomy of Monsters,” appeared in the most-recent issue of Star*Line.

The poem is a nod to my fifth grade science teacher, and one of the earliest clues that I was going to major in Liberal Arts, and not the sciences.

I loved learning astronomy in elementary school, mostly for the cool stories associated with the pictures you drew in the stars. I still feel an affinity for Orion, and as much as I love our summers here in the Midwest, his reappearance is something I look forward to every Autumn.
